EWER: Situation Review May 2017

In May, Belun’s Early Warning, Early Response (EWER) system continued monitoring for violent incidents and changes to the security situation in Timor-Leste. FieldAi?? monitors recorded 134 incidents, and identified that former Martial Arts Groups (MAG) and Ritual Arts Group (RAG) incidents remained high in May with a total ofAi?? 14 incidents. Data also showed 5 violent incidents involved PNTL members and 1 incident involved an F-FDTL (military) member. 3 of the PNTL incidents involved guns occurring in Dili and 1 incident occurred in Letefoho, Ermera.
